Claude + Sightkick: an SEO and GEO connector for Claude

Updated

To use Sightkick in Claude, add it once as a custom connector under Customize → Connectors and sign in. Claude, on claude.ai or in the desktop app, can then read your AI visibility, rivals, citations and Search Console data in a chat, and plan, draft and schedule pages.

Sightkick makes this page. Its numbers come from Sightkick's own site, sightkick.so.

Key takeaways

  • You add the connector, Claude can't. It takes about a minute, once.
  • Every Claude plan can do it. Free allows one custom connector.
  • A chat suits reading and deciding. Ask, follow up, then act.
  • Keep publishing behind Claude's tool approval. Sightkick itself asks for no confirmation.

How do you add Sightkick to Claude?

Open Customize → Connectors, add a custom connector with Sightkick's endpoint, and sign in. Claude can't add a connector on its own, so this step is yours:

  1. Open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Choose "+ Add", then "Add custom connector".
  3. Paste the endpoint and continue to the sign-in.
https://app.sightkick.so/mcp

The sign-in opens in your browser. Sign in to Sightkick and pick the workspace for your site. There is no API key. The same steps for every client are on Sightkick's MCP page.

In a chat, connectors switch on per conversation: click + at the lower left, then Connectors, and turn Sightkick on. To check it works, ask Claude: "Call Sightkick's get_workspace and tell me which workspace you're connected to." It answers with the workspace, the plan's amounts and what's left this month, Sightkick's jobs and what setup still lacks.

Who can add it on a Team or Enterprise plan?

An owner adds it once, and each member then connects with their own sign-in. Per Anthropic's connector guide, on Team only Owners and Primary Owners add connectors, under Organization settings → Connectors (Add, then Custom → Web). On Enterprise, so can people with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries. Members connect it from Customize → Connectors, so Claude reaches only what that person can. A member who can't add it asks an owner.

What if you don't have a Sightkick account yet?

Start at app.sightkick.so/start: sign in, confirm your site and start the 7-day trial. It takes a card and charges nothing for 7 days. Then add the connector. To see how AI answers about you first, the free AI visibility report needs no card. If you also use Claude Code or Codex, either can do the whole account setup from sightkick.so/llms.txt.

What can Claude do with Sightkick?

Four jobs that suit a chat, each with a prompt and what came back on sightkick.so.

Read what changed in AI answers

Read my Sightkick AI visibility summary for the last 14 days.
Which AI models mention us more than in the 14 days before?
How do they talk about us?

sightkick.so, 14 days to 4 November 2026: ChatGPT mentioned Sightkick 14 times (2 in the 14 days before), Google AI Mode 7 times (6), Gemini once (0) and Google AI Overviews once (0). AI models recommended Sightkick 13 times and cited it 24 times. Sentiment: 13 positive, 7 neutral, 3 mixed, 0 negative. Claude can open the stored answers behind each number with get_prompts and quote what a model actually said.

See who AI names instead of you

Which competitors do AI answers name most for my tracked prompts?
Rank them and tell me which ones we don't track yet.

In Sightkick's own tracking of sightkick.so's prompts (get_visibility competitors, same 14 days), AI answers named Profound 2,043 times, Peec AI 1,988, Otterly 1,875, Scrunch AI 766, Rankscale AI 517, Promptwatch 243, Semrush 152 and SE Ranking 54. These count names in our stored answers, not the rivals' own figures. Claude can add a missing rival with update_competitors, so every answer is checked for it from then on.

Find the pages AI trusts, and pitch them

Which sites do AI answers cite most for my prompts?
Then list the best ones to pitch with get_outreach prospects.
Draft nothing yet.

In the same stored answers (get_visibility sources, same 14 days), the most-cited domains were semrush.com (1,489 citations), youtube.com (1,059), reddit.com (964), tryprofound.com (860), peec.ai (816), otterly.ai (677) and zapier.com (535). One zapier.com list, "9 best AI visibility tools", was cited 334 times on its own. A page cited that often is where a place is worth asking for. Pitches go out from your own inbox.

Check one page on the Google side

Which of my pages gets the most Search Console impressions?
Read the searches behind them and suggest a better title and
meta description. Don't change anything yet.

sightkick.so, 7 October to 3 November 2026: /blog/am-i-on-ai led with 1,472 impressions, 8 clicks and an average position of 9.3. get_search_console's query view asks Google live, up to 1,000 rows, filtered by page, so Claude reads the actual searches. "Don't change anything yet" keeps the job to reads, since Sightkick's reads and changes are separate tools.

Method: Sightkick asks each tracked buyer prompt daily in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode and stores the answers. Mentions, recommendations, citations and rivals are counted from those answers. Search Console numbers come through get_search_console.

One more result, from the same runs: "Is there an MCP server that connects Google Search Console to Claude?" named Sightkick in none of its 4 answers over 30 days. Asked the generic question, AI doesn't think of Sightkick yet.

How is Claude different from Claude Code?

Same maker and same Sightkick server, different seat: Claude works in a conversation and a person adds the connector, while Claude Code works in a repo and adds the server itself.

  • Who adds Sightkick. In Claude, a person, in the app. Claude Code can run claude mcp add, or install the free sightkick plugin.
  • Where the connection runs. Claude reaches remote MCP servers from Anthropic's cloud, the same way on claude.ai, the desktop app and the mobile apps.
  • What it works on. Claude works in the chat. Claude Code can edit the site's files.
  • What carries over. Per Claude Code's MCP docs, a connector you add on claude.ai shows up in Claude Code's /mcp when Claude Code is signed in with the same claude.ai subscription.

What is Claude?

Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant, first released on March 14, 2023. claude.ai opened to the public in the US and UK on July 11, 2023, with Claude 2, and Claude also runs in desktop and mobile apps. Claude gained remote MCP servers on the web and desktop on May 1, 2025, under the name Integrations. Anthropic's help center now calls them custom connectors.

How does Claude compare with other agents on Sightkick?

Claude and ChatGPT are chat apps where a person adds the connector. Claude Code and Codex connect themselves and can run with no one at a browser.

Is it safe to connect Claude?

Yes, if publishing and sending stay behind Claude's tool approval. Connected, Claude can do what you can do in Sightkick: read every report, edit pages, change the calendar, publish, pitch. Four things stay yours: signing in, entering the first card, ending a trial early (Start my plan now) and deciding who gets access. The grant covers the one workspace you picked on the consent screen, and every write shows in Sightkick's activity feed against the client that made it.

  • Tool approval. Anthropic advises "Allow always" only for servers and tools you fully trust. Don't give Sightkick's publishing and sending tools "Allow always".
  • Research mode. Per Anthropic, during research Claude can call connector tools without further approval. Turn off the tools that write, or the connector, before a research run.
  • Team plans. Each member connects with their own Sightkick sign-in, so Claude reaches only what that person can.

On Sightkick's side, actions that delete something, take a page down or send an email are marked destructive, and every agent edit to a live page can be undone. Text from AI answers, web pages and emails comes back marked untrusted, which matters in a chat that reads a lot of it. For a human gate on Sightkick's own work, set its jobs to Manual, and have Claude create pages without a day: they wait in Unscheduled.

FAQ

What does it cost?

Sightkick Standard is $39 a month ($31 billed yearly): your agent writes the pages and Sightkick does the rest. Pro is $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) with 30 articles a month written and published by Sightkick. The MCP server is on both, with a 7-day free trial that takes a card and charges nothing for 7 days. Claude's own plans are separate, and Free covers one custom connector.

Do I need an API key?

No. The connector signs in with OAuth in your browser. API keys are for scripts and scheduled jobs, which use Sightkick's CLI or HTTP API instead of a chat.

Will Claude publish without asking?

Not unless you've chosen "Allow always" for publish_page. Sightkick won't ask, so the check is Claude's tool approval. A written page already on the calendar goes live on its day either way.

Does it run on a schedule?

Sightkick does, with or without a chat open: prompts asked daily in each AI model, Search Console synced daily, new keywords and topics weekly, pages published on their day. Claude is where you read the results and steer.

Does Sightkick track what Claude says about my brand?

No. Sightkick tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode: 3 included, the 4th as an add-on. Claude and Perplexity are not tracked.

Can Claude write the pages?

Yes. Claude drafts a page in the chat, creates it with update_page, grades it with score_page and puts it on the calendar with schedule_page. Claude's writing runs on your own Claude plan and uses none of Sightkick's article allowance.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, once it's added. Per Anthropic, a remote connector works on every Claude client, the mobile apps included, but installing connectors on mobile is in beta. Add Sightkick on the web or the desktop app.

Troubleshooting

Why does every tool say the connection isn't tied to a Sightkick workspace?

The sign-in finished before the new account's workspace existed. Finish setting up at app.sightkick.so/start (sign in, confirm the site, start the trial or the plan). Then remove the connector and add it back, which runs the sign-in again.

Why doesn't Claude use Sightkick?

The connector is probably off for this chat. Click + at the lower left, then Connectors, and turn Sightkick on. Then ask for a Sightkick tool by name, like get_visibility.

Why can't I add a connector on a Team plan?

Only an owner can. Ask an Owner or Primary Owner to add Sightkick under Organization settings → Connectors, then connect it yourself from Customize → Connectors.

Why can't I add another connector on Free?

Free allows one custom connector. Remove the other one or move to a paid Claude plan.

What if it has to run with nobody at the browser?

Use an API key instead of the connector. Make one in Sightkick under Settings → Agents and use the CLI (npx -y sightkick) or the HTTP API on a server or in a scheduled job.
