Muse + Sightkick: SEO and AI visibility from Meta's agent
Updated
Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, can bring Sightkick into the chat you already have open: ask whether AI answers name your business, how your site does on Google and who gets recommended instead. Ask Muse to create a custom connector for Sightkick's MCP server, then sign in to Sightkick when it asks.
Disclosure: this page is made by Sightkick, about connecting Sightkick to Muse. Muse is Meta's product, and Sightkick has no partnership with Meta.
Key takeaways
- Muse adds Sightkick as a custom connector: ask Muse to create one with the endpoint https://app.sightkick.so/mcp, then sign in.
- Meta doesn't review custom connectors, so set Sightkick to Ask for some actions or Always ask in Muse's permissions.
- The jobs that fit Muse are short questions: are we named, what do answers say, do people find us by name.
- Sightkick tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, not Meta AI or Muse.
How do I connect Muse to Sightkick?
Ask Muse to create a custom connector for Sightkick's MCP server and paste the endpoint, https://app.sightkick.so/mcp. Sign in to Sightkick when Muse asks, and pick the workspace for your site. Meta's way to add a service that isn't in Muse's list is to ask Muse for a custom connector (Meta Help Center).
- Ask Muse to create a custom connector for Sightkick's MCP server, and paste the endpoint.
- Sign in to Sightkick when Muse asks: sign in in your browser and pick the workspace for your site.
- Set how often Muse asks before it acts: Settings → Permissions → Manage permissions → Connectors.
Create a custom connector for Sightkick's MCP server. Its endpoint is https://app.sightkick.so/mcpSightkick's MCP server runs over streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1, so the sign-in needs no key. The same steps are in Sightkick's MCP setup for Muse. To check the connection, ask Muse:
Use Sightkick and call get_workspace. Which site are you connected to, and what does setup still need from me?get_workspace returns the workspace, the plan's amounts and what's left this month, each of Sightkick's jobs and what setup still lacks.

What is Muse?
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. Meta launched it on September 8, 2026, rolling out in the US on iOS, Android and muse.ai (Meta). By late September Meta described it as available in the US and Canada (Meta), and it reached Singapore on October 28 (Meta).
You chat with it in the Muse app on mobile and Mac, on muse.ai or in WhatsApp (Meta AI). It runs on its own computer in the cloud, keeps working after you close the app, and comes back when it needs approval. It's free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for more.
Muse is not Muse Code, Meta's terminal coding agent, which loads MCP servers from a settings file. This page covers the Muse app. It's also not Adobe Muse, the website builder that once had its own SEO guides.
What can Muse do with Sightkick?
Muse can answer short questions about your visibility in the chat you already use: are you named, what do answers say, do people find you by name, and is a keyword worth a page. Under each prompt is what Sightkick returned for sightkick.so, Sightkick's own site.
The numbers are our own. Method: the sightkick.so workspace in Sightkick, read on 4 November 2026. AI answers come from tracked prompts asked daily in ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode; Google numbers from Search Console over 28 days.
Do AI answers name my business?
Ask Sightkick how often AI answers named us in the last 14 days. Split it into questions that use our name and questions that don't.On sightkick.so: 100 tracked prompts, 15 of them branded. Unbranded prompts named Sightkick in 23 of 5,960 answers over 14 days (0.4%). On 4 November, the first day of the current prompt set, branded prompts named it in 33 of 40 answers (82.5%). Worked out, an answer that already has our name in the question is about 200 times more likely to name us than one that doesn't (82.5% against 0.39%). People who know the name get it back. People who ask the open question mostly don't, and that open question is the one a page has to win.
When they name us, what do they say?
Use Sightkick's get_visibility summary. When AI answers mention us, do they recommend us, cite our pages, and in what tone?On sightkick.so: recommended 13 times, cited 24 times. Sentiment: 13 positive, 7 neutral, 3 mixed, 0 negative.
Do people find us by name on Google?
Use Sightkick's get_search_console query for searches of our brand name over the last 28 days. How many impressions, clicks and what position? On sightkick.so: the query “sightkick” had 173 impressions, 1 click and an average position of 17.9. A brand search that lands on page two is a fix worth asking for.
What kind of pages do AI answers trust?
Use Sightkick's get_visibility sources: which types of pages do AI answers cite for our buyer questions? Rank them.On sightkick.so: product pages 3,076 citations, listicles 1,292, guides 412, discussions 165, videos 72. Product pages drew more citations than every other type combined.
Is a keyword worth a page?
Use Sightkick's research_keywords for "framer seo" in the US. How many searches a month, and how hard is it to rank?On sightkick.so: “framer seo” 90 searches a month, difficulty 2. For comparison, “wordpress seo ai” has 40 and “shopify ai seo” 20. Each lookup uses one of the plan's keyword searches, 100 a month on both packages.
Muse can also run a question like these on a schedule. Its scheduled tasks show under Upcoming when you tap your assistant icon (Meta Help Center).
Is it safe?
Yes, if you set the limits: Meta doesn't review custom connectors or how they use your information, and says to grant access with caution. So the limits that matter are the ones you set in Muse and the ones Sightkick enforces itself.
In Muse
- Set the approvals first. Settings → Permissions → Connectors. Ask for some actions makes Muse ask before every write action and important reads. Always ask makes it ask before any action. You can set it per connector, so Sightkick can be stricter than your calendar (Meta Help Center).
- Answer each request on its merits. Muse offers Allow once, Allow for this task, Always allow and Deny. Keep Always allow for reads. Use Allow once for publishing and outreach.
- Read the log. Tap your assistant icon for the Activity log: every action Muse took and every permission you gave.
- Disconnect any time. Settings → Connectors. What Muse already learned can stay in its memories and chat history, and you can ask it to forget (Meta Help Center).
In Sightkick
- One site per connection. A sign-in ties Muse to the workspace you pick. Muse can't read or touch another site.
- Every call is attributed. Each call lands in Sightkick's activity feed against the client that made it, next to the record in Muse's own log.
- Four things stay yours. Signing in, entering the first card, ending a trial early (Start my plan now) and deciding who gets access.
- Destructive actions are marked. Deleting something, taking a page down and sending an email are marked destructive. Sightkick keeps every edit an agent makes to a live page, and any of them can be undone. Some actions can't be reversed, as Meta notes of sending an email, so approve those one at a time.
- Keep Sightkick to drafts. Set Sightkick's jobs to Manual, and ask Muse to save pages without a publish day. Those pages sit in Unscheduled until you pick a day.

How does Muse compare with other agents on Sightkick?
Muse is the one you reach from WhatsApp and your phone, with no terminal at all. The others add Sightkick by URL or with a command.
| Agent | Where you talk to it | How it connects to Sightkick | Sign-in | Runs unattended |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Muse | Muse app, muse.ai, WhatsApp | Ask Muse to create a custom connector | When Muse asks, in your browser | Keeps working after you close the app |
| Grok Bot | Desktop and phone apps | Ask a Bot to add the MCP server by URL | When the Bot asks, in your browser | Yes, on its own cloud computer, with routines |
| ChatGPT | ChatGPT on the web | Custom MCP server, added by you in Plugins | OAuth in your browser | Not documented for custom servers |
| Claude Code | Your terminal | claude mcp add | /mcp, then your browser | On an API key, with the CLI or API |
| OpenClaw | Your terminal and chat apps | openclaw mcp add, with the Gateway stopped | openclaw mcp login, or --code | On an API key, with the CLI or API |

Troubleshooting
Why does every tool say the connection isn't tied to a Sightkick workspace?
Your Sightkick sign-in finished before the workspace existed. Finish setup at app.sightkick.so/start: sign in, confirm the site and start the trial or the plan. Then remove the connector in Muse and add it back.
What if Muse asks for a key, not a sign-in?
Make a Sightkick API key: Settings → Agents, then New key, and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>. Read is always on. Untick write, spend, publish or send for anything Muse shouldn't do, which makes the key itself a limit. It's a secret: give it only where the connector setup asks for it, never in a chat message or a shared file. With a key, the CLI and the HTTP API run the same tools.
Why does Muse ask before every Sightkick action?
That's your permission setting at work. Change it for Sightkick only, in Settings → Permissions → Manage permissions → Connectors.
Why aren't connectors there yet?
Muse's availability differs by country. In Singapore, Meta said connector features roll out progressively after launch.
How do I take Sightkick out of Muse?
Disconnect it in Muse under Settings → Connectors. If Muse used a key, remove the key in Sightkick under Settings → Agents too.
FAQ
What does it cost?
Sightkick Standard is $39 a month, or $31 billed yearly, and your agent writes the pages. Pro is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, with 30 articles a month written and published by Sightkick. Both start with a 7-day free trial: a card, nothing charged for 7 days, and cancelling in time costs nothing. Muse is free for most uses, with Meta's own subscription plans.
Do I need an API key?
No. Sightkick's server uses OAuth: you sign in when Muse asks and pick your site's workspace. A key is only the fallback for a setup that asks for one.
Will Muse publish to my site without asking?
Not if your Muse permissions say ask. Sightkick itself never asks for a confirm, so set Sightkick to Ask for some actions or Always ask in Muse. Pages without a publish day stay in Unscheduled.
Can Muse check on a schedule?
Yes. Ask for a weekly check and it becomes a scheduled task under Upcoming. Sightkick's own jobs run daily without Muse: it asks your prompts in AI models every day and syncs Search Console daily.
Does Meta review the Sightkick connector?
No. Meta doesn't review custom connectors. Sightkick's own limits still apply: one workspace per sign-in, every call in the activity feed, destructive actions marked.
Does Sightkick track what Meta AI or Muse say about my brand?
No. The AI models Sightkick tracks are ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Three come with the plan and the fourth is an add-on.
Do I need technical skills?
No. Every job on this page is a plain question to Muse. The setup is one message to Muse, then a sign-in.
