Profound vs Peec AI (2026): Price, AI Models and Who Each Fits

Updated

Disclosure: Sightkick is our product and competes with Profound and Peec AI. Every price on this page was checked on the vendor's own site on 4 November 2026.

The main difference between Profound and Peec AI is who they sell to. Peec AI is self-serve, with public prices from $95 per month for 50 prompts in 3 AI models. Profound sells enterprise plans on a custom quote, with SSO/SAML and up to 10 AI models. Pick Peec AI for a priced, self-serve start, Profound for enterprise depth.

Which one do AI models name more often?

Neither, by a meaningful margin. In the 30 days to 3 November 2026, Profound was named in 4,266 of 12,399 AI answers (34.4%) and Peec AI in 4,227 (34.1%). The 0.3-point gap is inside the sampling margin of about ±0.9 points, so the two are tied. They were named together in about 3,000 answers. Otterly came third at 31.4%.

Each AI model leans a little differently. ChatGPT and Google AI Mode named Peec AI slightly more often. Gemini and Google AI Overviews named Profound more often.

The vendors' own sites do much of the work. Peec AI's homepage was cited 878 times and Profound's 829, the first and third most-cited pages in the data. Leave out the prompts that name a tool in the question, and Profound's share is 32.6% against Peec AI's 31.4%. This measures how often AI models name each tool. It says nothing about how well either one tracks your brand.

Method: how this data was collected

  • Prompts: 100 buyer prompts about AI visibility, GEO and AI search tools, chosen by Sightkick. 17 name a tracked tool. None names Sightkick.
  • AI models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, each asked every prompt once a day from the US.
  • Window: 4 October to 3 November 2026. 12,399 answers, about 3,100 per AI model.
  • Counting: an answer counts once if it names the brand at least once. One answer can name several brands, so shares don't add up to 100%.
  • Who ran it: Sightkick, which sells in this category. It was named in 29 of the 12,399 answers (0.2%).

Where Profound wins

Profound wins on enterprise depth. Its Enterprise plan tracks up to 10 AI models, including Perplexity, Copilot, Claude, DeepSeek and Exa Search, with SSO/SAML, SOC 2 compliance and dedicated support (Profound pricing, November 2026). Neither Peec AI's self-serve plans nor Sightkick cover that many AI models.

Profound also sells more than tracking. Its AI Marketer is an agent that researches, writes and reports, priced on credits. Agent Analytics tracks AI-sourced traffic through integrations with Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress. Its customer page says Plaid grew AI referral traffic 300% and MongoDB lifted its AI search visibility 50%. Profound publishes these results itself, and no independent audit backs them.

  • Where it falls short: no public price beyond the trial, so you can't budget before a sales call.
  • The trial is fixed: trial users get a preset prompt set for their industry and can't edit it. History, exports and API access are not included.

Where Peec AI wins

Peec AI wins on transparency and a self-serve start. Every self-serve plan has a public price, unlimited users and SOC 2, and you can start without a sales call (Peec AI pricing, November 2026). Its MCP server comes with every plan, so an AI assistant such as Claude can read the data directly.

Agencies get their own bundles. Peec AI's agency plans run on shared credits, with unlimited seats, Peec MCP, API, Looker Studio and CSV exports on every tier, plus free 7-day pitch projects for prospective clients. Peec AI also tracks products: its AI Shopping features measure visibility per SKU from a Shopify or CSV catalog.

  • Where it falls short: self-serve plans track 3 AI models at a time. Perplexity is a paid add-on, and Claude and Grok need Enterprise.
  • Limits by tier: Starter covers 1 country and 1 project. API access starts on Pro, the Looker Studio connector on Advanced and SSO on Enterprise.

How do Profound and Peec AI compare on price per prompt?

Peec AI costs $1.41 to $1.90 per tracked prompt per month, depending on the plan. Profound can't be compared this way, because it publishes no paid price. The table divides each plan's monthly price by its prompts, as listed on 4 November 2026. Per-prompt cost leaves out everything a plan adds beyond tracking.

Profound used to publish cheaper plans. Peec AI's own comparison page, dated January 2026, still quotes a Profound Growth plan at $399 per month for 100 prompts. Profound's pricing page no longer lists it.

Where Sightkick wins

Sightkick wins if you want your own AI agent to do the work. The platform's MCP server connects Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client, and an API and CLI cover scripts. Beyond tracking, it writes pages, publishes them to your CMS and pitches backlinks from your own inbox. Standard costs $39 per month after a 7-day free trial (Sightkick pricing, November 2026).

  • Where it falls short: 3 AI models on the base plan, and no Perplexity, Claude or Copilot tracking at all.
  • Less known: AI models named it in 29 of 12,399 answers (0.2%), against about a third for Profound and Peec AI.
  • Trial: needs a card, unlike Otterly's.

Which should you choose?

Choose by who signs off and who does the work. The four cases below cover most buyers.

  • Enterprise team with a security review and many AI models to cover: Profound.
  • Marketing team or agency that wants a public price and a self-serve start: Peec AI.
  • Lowest entry price, with Perplexity and Copilot included: Otterly, from $29 per month for 15 prompts (Otterly pricing, November 2026). See Otterly vs Peec AI.
  • Your own AI agent runs tracking, writing, publishing and outreach: Sightkick, our product.

What else do buyers ask about Profound vs Peec AI?

Does Profound or Peec AI have a free trial?

Both do. Profound's free trial runs 50 preset prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Peec AI's pricing page offers a free trial but doesn't state its length or card terms. Both checked on 4 November 2026.

Do Profound and Peec AI track Google AI Mode?

Yes, with limits. Profound tracks AI Mode on Enterprise, not on the trial. Peec AI lets you pick AI Mode as one of the 3 active AI models on any self-serve plan.

Can an AI agent use Profound or Peec AI?

Peec AI includes an MCP server on every plan and an API from Pro. Profound includes an API on Enterprise, and its own AI Marketer agent works inside the product. Sightkick is built for this case: your agent runs the whole platform through MCP.

Is Peec AI cheaper than Profound?

On published prices, yes. Peec AI starts at $95 per month. Profound's only paid plan is a custom Enterprise quote, so the gap depends on the deal you negotiate.
