The vendors' own sites do much of the work. Peec AI's homepage was cited 878 times and Otterly's 841, the two most-cited pages in the data. Leave out the prompts that name a tool in the question, and Peec AI's share is 31.4% against Otterly's 28.8%. The data covers neither Perplexity nor Claude, which Otterly can track. This measures how often AI models name each tool. It says nothing about how well either one tracks your brand.

Method: how this data was collected

  • Prompts: 100 buyer prompts about AI visibility, GEO and AI search tools, chosen by Sightkick. 17 name a tracked tool. None names Sightkick.
  • AI models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, each asked every prompt once a day from the US. Claude and Perplexity are not tracked.
  • Window: 4 October to 3 November 2026. 12,399 answers, about 3,100 per AI model.
  • Counting: an answer counts once if it names the brand at least once. One answer can name several brands, so shares don't add up to 100%.
  • Who ran it: Sightkick, which sells in this category. It was named in 29 of the 12,399 answers (0.2%).

Where Otterly wins

Otterly wins on entry price and on AI models. Lite costs $29 per month, and the 7-day trial needs no card (Otterly pricing, November 2026). Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot are included on every plan. On Peec AI, Perplexity is a paid add-on.

Otterly can track 7 AI models in all. Claude is tracked through its API, using the Haiku model with web search (Otterly help center, 12 October 2026). Every plan covers unlimited countries and languages, and includes GEO URL audits and a crawlability audit.

  • Where it falls short: Gemini, AI Mode and Claude cost extra on every self-serve plan. On Lite they add $9, $9 and $29 per month.
  • Limits by tier: Lite has 15 prompts and 1 workspace, and lists no API or MCP. Those start on Standard at $189.

The full Otterly review covers its plans, add-ons and user reviews.

Where Peec AI wins

Peec AI wins on scale and diagnostics. Its plans start with 50 prompts, add projects and countries per tier, and include an MCP server and SOC 2 on every plan (Peec AI pricing, November 2026). Crawl insights read AI bot visits from server logs, AI referrals come from Google Analytics, and AI Shopping tracks products.

Agencies get their own bundles. Peec AI's agency plans run on annual credits shared across clients, with unlimited seats, MCP, API, Looker Studio and CSV exports on every tier, plus free 7-day pitch projects for prospective clients.

  • Where it falls short: 3 active AI models on every self-serve plan. Perplexity is an add-on, and Claude and Grok need Enterprise.
  • Limits by tier: Starter covers 1 country and 1 project. The API starts on Pro and Looker Studio on Advanced.

The full Peec AI review covers setup, accuracy and user reviews. For other options, see Peec AI alternatives.

How do Otterly and Peec AI compare on price per prompt?

The table divides each plan's monthly price by its prompts, as listed on 4 November 2026. Per-prompt cost leaves out everything else a plan includes.

Add-ons change the math. Otterly Lite with Gemini and AI Mode costs $47 per month for 6 AI models. A fourth AI model on Peec AI costs $35 per month on Starter, $85 on Pro and $165 on Advanced, according to its company page (read 4 November 2026).

Which fits an agency, and which fits an in-house team?

Agencies with many clients will find Peec AI easier to run, because its agency plans share credits across client projects under one bill. In-house teams tracking one brand get a cheaper start from Otterly, which builds a brand report from the first prompts and suggests competitors by industry (Otterly help center, 5 October 2026).

Otterly has an agency route too. Its Agency Partner program, on Standard or Premium, adds prompts (150 on Standard, 500 on Premium), unlimited workspaces, pitch workspaces, branded Looker Studio reports and one invoice (Otterly pricing, November 2026).

Where Sightkick wins

Sightkick wins if you want your own AI agent to do the work. The platform's MCP server connects Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client, and an API and CLI cover scripts. Beyond tracking, it writes pages, publishes them to your CMS and pitches backlinks from your own inbox. Standard costs $39 per month after a 7-day free trial (Sightkick pricing, November 2026).

  • Where it falls short: 3 AI models on the base plan, and no Perplexity, Claude or Copilot tracking at all.
  • Less known: AI models named it in 29 of 12,399 answers (0.2%), against about a third for Otterly and Peec AI.
  • Trial: needs a card, unlike Otterly's.

Which should you choose?
